I'll be honest. I have a favorite browser. Before you ask, no it's not Internet Explorer or Firefox, it's one called Opera. It's fast , sleek, and has a wide variety of built in options that most others don't. Now here's the challenge: download Opera (it's free) and give it a test run. The interface is different and takes some getting used to, but let me know what you think of it. If you don't like it, great. If you do, even better.

Download the Opera Web browser, the fastest browser on earth

Huh.
Wow. It's been awhile since I posted on here. It has been a hectic day in some aspects. Our accountant managed to goof up a guy's paycheck *again*. How they manage to do that to the same guy a couple of times within a month's time is beyond me though. I suppose that I'll wrap this up for the moment. I might start blogging on here a bit more since very few know my blog over here.

*Well, now that I post a post about the layout on my main blog,  I might get more traffic. LOL.

Just thought I'd post a picture of my dog, Bear. He's a 14 week old toy poodle. Such a cutie!

If you were stranded on an island with a fictional character, who would it be and why?

Normally I ignore these on the home page, but I thought this one would be rather fun to answer.

Harry Dresden. I want Harry Dresden. Here's why:   He has a big heart, a witty sense of humour, is rough and handsome, beats bad guys up, gets beat up, and usually manages a smart-ass answer while doing so. Not to mention, he has a staff. Who can resist a man with a quarter-staff? :P Too bad he's fictional. He's probably the reason we're on the island to begin with.

I have to admit that Cal and Niko, as well as Sam and Dean were also candidates, but there's just something about Harry that I like more.

Alright, I think I've made a big enough fool of myself for now. :D

Right now my.opera isn't letting me post a blog entry, so I'll do it here and transfer it to Opera later.

My day started off when I was scared shitless at about 3 am by what sounded like a cannon blast. Just a really loud clap of thunder. We had a heck of a thunderstorm from about 3 am to 5 am judging from the lighting and thunder. I should have got up about 5 when I woke that last time, but didn't, figuring that I'd doze till my alarm went off at 6.  I woke up later without hearing the alarm and figured that I was awake before it went off. Wrong. The clock read 7:59. I called my boss and told him I accidentally slept in and I'd be there as soon as I showered. Thankfully he was OK with it, since this is the first time I've been late since I worked here. So far it has been one thing after another and I'm rather short tempered. Hopefully, it gets better.

Have you ever met those people who are incredibly negative about everything? I work with someone like that. I like the person alot, but nothing is ever good enough for the person. For instance: It's 56 degrees out and the sun is shining brightly in a beautiful blue sky with a few wispy mare's tales. There's just a hint of a breeze, it almost goes unnoticed except for the slight brisk edge it adds. You want to know what he says- It should be 60 degrees out. Why can't we get a decent day around here? And that wind, well, it feels like it's blowing over an iceberg. I don't want that really hot weather, I just want it to be 60 degrees then it'd be perfect and I could do some work outside.
As I mentioned, I like the person but why can't they look at at least some of the beautiful things in life instead of all the negative? We live in a free country where we can believe as we choose, live where we choose, and get the education we choose. I'm not saying that it's perfect, but at least we have a choice. Yes, it is difficult to live and make a living, but that goes for anywhere you live and not just here. I guess what bothers me so much about it is that he never says much about how glad he is for what he has, it's always about how this needs to change, or they need to do this better, or I don't like this. When you ask him what he likes and the only answer is "I like all sorts of things." and that's the extent of the answer. Thus endeth the monotonous rambling.

I really enjoy reading the blogs of some of my favorite authors. It gives me a view into their life and I get a hint of their "voice". Granted, some of the stuff isn't overly exciting, but it gives you an idea of what goes on while they write. The ones I tend to keep tabs on the most are: C.J. Cherryh, Steven Harper/Piziks, Rob Thurman, and Mark del Franco. It's neat to see the struggles that they go through, (I'm sure they disagree with that :) and gives them more of a human feel, rather than "Holy crap! That's the person who wrote, [insert book here]! That's just sooo cool."  I'm not stalking them or anything, I just like to get a feel for the authors that write some of my favorite books.
-Special note here... It was on Steven Harper's blog that I saw those cute little penguins!

I was checking out Rob Thurman's site and found out that she and Chris McGrath, the cover artist, posted links to the models for the covers. Incredibly hot. That's all I can say. Many, many thanks to those two for doing that. It made my day! No wonder she refers to them as the Holy Trinity of Hotness!

This is my third blog site on the internet. What sold me on Live Journal are the little penguin emoticons! They were just so blasted cute I couldn't resist. Alright, enough of the penguin mantra and back to blogs. Opera Community is my main blog: http://my.opera.com/dragon_harrower
I do have a Myspace page, but to be honest, I use it just to keep in touch with my friends back in Montana.  I'll try and get all of my Opera blog posted over here soon, but until then, that's where the majority of it will be.
As a point of interest, did anyone know that Myspace considers 'fermented' an emotion? How does that qualify as an emotion?
